Diane Wilkinson - Progression Officer


The role of Progression Officer within our school is to provide students with quality information 

& prepare them for the wide range of choices open to them after life at Brownhill Learning Community.


I ensure visits to careers fairs, universities and training providers are engaging and informative and provide the 

young people whom we work with have the knowledge and skills they will need to make informed choices.


I work alongside our careers advisor from Positive Steps to produce & provide the most relevant 

information our students will need for after Year 11 either in further Education or Employment.

Positive Steps is a charitable trust that delivers a range of targeted and integrated services for young people, 

adults and families that recognises the diversity of the people with whom we work.


We are a unique organisation delivering a combination of statutory, voluntary and traded services 

– funded through local authority and charitable trust grants, charitable donations, 

contracts based on payment by results, and income generated through our sister company 

Positive Steps Trading – where all profits fund our charitable activity.


Positive Steps has a long history of hitting and exceeding targets and the past year has proved no exception. 

We deliver a comprehensive, integrated range of services which helped young people, adults and families reach their full potential. 

These include: Careers Guidance – We provide the careers information, advice and guidance service in Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside.
